Our Founder
Meet Anne Juliette, the Founder of Textured Queens Hair Academy
Anne Juliette is a tenacious go-getter from Dondon, Haiti. In the early 90s, her family migrated to Nashville, TN, and she later graduated from the great HBCU of Alabama A&M University. Following graduation, Anne pursued her cosmetology license from the Aveda Institute, then stepped out on faith and moved to Atlanta, GA, to begin her career in the film and television industry thrived.
In addition to working as a professional hair stylist, Anne collaborates with major hair brands such as Aveda and Paul Mitchell. Her experience ranges from managing salons to training stylists in and out of the salon.
As her career developed in the hair industry, Anne would frequently get hired to style Black talent, and she noticed the lack of education around braiding, styling textured hair, and installing or constructing wigs. To address this, Anne started teaching classes focused on textured hair styling, then created Textured Queens Hair Academy. Since our start, she has held several classes, including Cornrow Braiding, Curly, Coily, Kinky and Everything In Between, Mommy and Me Texture Class, and Black Girls Can’t Braid.
You can see Anne's work on Bravo, Amazon, Lifetime Movie Network, Coming to America, Big Brothers 2, Music videos, Commercials, Beauty campaigns, and More.
